James Corden planned on doing a dogs-in-sunglasses segment on last night's The Late Late Show (or so he says...), but instead, Baby Driver actors Jamie Foxx and Ansel Elgort cornered him into an impromptu riff-off...and it was everything.

Corden started things off pretty strong with a rendition of Bruno Mars's “24K Magic.” Foxx went old-school and clapped back with Stevie Wonder's “For Once in My Life,” then launched into a spot-on delivery of James Brown's “I Got the Feeling.” Sensing the heat of competition, Corden got in Foxx's face and belted out Gwen Stefani's “Hollaback Girl.” Oh no he didn't!

Elgort, who had been backstage the whole time, came out to end the tiebreaker with a jaw-dropping performance of The Commodores' “Easy.” His voice—which, BTW, made us fall in love with him—put the nail in Corden's riff-off coffin.

After a brief Corden meltdown, the trio came together for the finale: “Ain't No Mountain High Enough.”
