Your dream weekend: Getting lost in the never-ending Ikea aisle where the only way out is to wind through the entirety of the home décor store, snacking on Swedish meatballs along the way. The goal? Design inspo, of course. (Your living room needs an overhaul and let’s not even discuss the tile job in the upstairs bathroom.)
Here’s how it works: Simply film a video that shows the outside of your home, the personalities of the people who live there and the room that needs the most design help. (Ding-ding-ding, your living room.) Keep the video to three minutes max, then upload it to Ikea’s casting call site. If your submission is chosen, the Ikea Home Tour Squad will be sent to your door, ready to transform your space with creative ideas and Ikea products that their design experts will probably even assemble themselves. (Kind of the best part, right?)
One caveat: Right now, the open casting call is only open to folks who live in Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Boston. Still, it doesn’t hurt to keep an eye out. You never know where the Ikea squad will end up next.
