A new way to immortalize your pet
A is for Angus. B is for Baxter. C is for Coco. And D is for Daisy, your adorable French bulldog who’s starred in too many Instagram posts to count.
Need a new way to showcase her cuteness?
Take one of Daisy’s best headshots to Kate Carson-Groner, the pet-artist-in-residence at the Lakeview gift shop Twosided (sister store to Foursided, the custom framing boutique located in Lakeview and Andersonville).
Carson-Groner began selling pet art after she and her husband--as newly married, recent grads of the Savannah College of Art and Design--both drew portraits of their dog, Duke, as Christmas gifts for each other without knowing it.
Now Carson-Groner will take your photo and turn it into a custom flashcard, complete with a drawing, your pet’s name and a custom 11x8 black or silver metal frame, for $65. (Allow a seven-day lead time; rush orders can be accommodated for an additional fee.)
Looking for something more formal? Carson-Groner also takes orders for larger, full-color pet paintings through her Etsy shop, Dandy Pet Portraits.
File it away under “birthday ideas for pet-obsessed assistant” and prepare to win boss of the year.
