Take a gift-wrapping tutorial
Custom-printed gift tags look more modern than bows.

Want to up your gifting game this year? Think outside the box by attending an all-day wrapping and crafting session in Hollywood.

On Saturday, December 13, folks from the super-cool arts organization Crafting Community are taking over the elegant Lombardi House. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., you’ll be able to create gifts, then wrap them up in so many unexpected ways. Think: Hand-stamping and sun-printing paper, designing and tying Japanese-style furoshiki sheaths and pattern-making with washi tape and ribbon.

The workshop, which is called Handmade Holiday, includes many other craftsy attractions, like a glass-ornament-making station, classes on creating planters and leather goods and next-level cookie decorating tutorials.

Tickets are $125 for adults and $100 for kids--a small price to pay for making an annual hassle into a fun creative outlet.
