Lauren Renfrow may have started her career as a hazardous-waste specialist for government agencies in Denver (ew), but it was her passion for stunning minerals, agate rocks, crystals and amethysts that led her to a thriving career in interior design. Her aesthetic is feminine, glamorous, unabashedly rich-looking and earthy. Literally.
Now Renfrow, a University Park resident, has opened Times Two Design studio on Cedar Springs Road (next to another design favorite, Wisteria), which carries such sensations as her Slag Glass lamp and the conversation-starting Teak Slab table (both $1,320). At her studio, Renfrow not only works with interior designers and their clients to create custom pieces but also fills orders for local and national stores.
Renfrow’s lower-priced tabletop items happen to make perfect hostess gifts. Pick them up online via the Dallas-based e-boutique Shop Ten 25 or in person at Madison in Highland Park Village, Hess in Lakewood or Sherry Hayslip Interiors Boutique in Uptown.
