The Foolproof Way to Thread a Needle, Every Time
Time to break up with the tailor
A fallen button could go to the tailor for repair. But it could also stay in your pretty little hands--once you get over that annoying needle-threading stress. Knock a few bucks off your next dry-cleaning bill and get your favorite coat back into rotation with this hair-product hack.
What you need: A needle, thread, scissors and any old aerosol hairspray.
What you do: Cut your thread to its desired length, give the to-be-threaded end a quick blast of hairspray and let it dry for about ten seconds. Insert the now-stiff thread through the eye of the needle.
Why it works: The holding properties that work to keep your strands in place do the same for other fibers. Enjoy domestic goddess status.
