Sometimes you step inside a new store and think, Isn’t this cute?

And other times you step inside a new store and think, I’ve evidently died and gone to Nora Ephron heaven.

CW Pencil Enterprise is the latter.

A teeny, tiny (but sun-drenched) space, it’s situated on the stoop above Birds & Bubbles and overlooks Sara D. Roosevelt Park (that skinny little green stretch in Chinatown). And it sells only pencils.

Yep, just pencils.

On one wall, you’ll find an array of colored No. 2s (starting at only 25 cents). On the other side are the pricier vintage joints that shop owner Caroline Weaver has sourced from hard-core collectors. There’s even an old-school vending machine, where you pop in two quarters and out comes a random advertising pencil dating back to anywhere from the ’40s to the ’80s.

Of course, you can’t keep this adorableness to yourself. And that’s where the antique hot-foil press comes into play. Tell Weaver what you’d like to say, and for $2 a pencil, consider yourself the wittiest gift giver ever.

Nora would approve.
