Mmmm?pasta for dinner. Sure, you?ve mastered the art of cooking a perfectly al dente noodle, but you still can?t quite figure out why every time you turn your head away, the water boils over the pot. Here, a super-simple trick to up your pasta game.
What you need: A wooden spoon
What you do: After the water comes to a boil, place the wooden spoon so it?s lying across the top. Leave it there while your pasta, or whatever you?re making, cooks. (Just check in periodically so you don?t scorch your spoon.)
Why this works: Basically, the spoon becomes an obstacle for the bubbles, popping them as soon as they foam up.
Yay, pasta for dinner! And minimal cleanup, too.
