OK, it's no longer socially acceptable for you to chase down the ice-cream truck. Instead, try making your own watermelon-lime granita. It's just as delicious but doesn’t involve waiting in line with all the neighborhood kids.
What You Need:
- 4 cups seedless watermelon
- Juice from 1 lime
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
Step 1: Put the watermelon, lime juice and sugar in a blender and blend until smooth.
Step 2: Pour the mixture into a small baking tin so that it forms a shallow layer along the bottom. Freeze for one hour.
Step 3: Take a fork and break up the mixture before returning to the freezer for another hour. Repeat this two more times, until the mixture has spent four hours total in the freezer.
Step 4: Scoop the ice into a margarita glass and garnish with a slice of lime.
