You’re supposed to meet some friends for happy hour after work. But you could reeeally go for a frosty treat right about now. At long last, you don’t have to choose between cocktails and cones: There’s now a shop dedicated to liquor-infused ice cream.

Tipsy Scoop, which previously only offered its treats for wholesale and catering orders, opened its first brick-and-mortar ice-cream “barlour” (yep) in Kips Bay earlier this month. And judging by the lines stretching down 26th Street, New Yorkers are all about the double-duty indulgence. (What can we say; we’re an efficient bunch.) 

The shop’s offerings include spiked hazelnut coffee and raspberry-Limoncello sorbet, plus a few seasonal treats only available in-store: May’s special is a Patrón margarita sundae served in a churro bowl (a churro bowl, people), and June will bring Aperol creamsicle sandwiches. The most popular flavor? Dark chocolate whiskey salted caramel.

Flavors clock in at about 5 percent ABV (roughly the equivalent of a cider or light beer), so you’re probably not going to get sloppy off a sole scoop. But if you are looking to get the party ice cream social started, a boozy flight might be more your speed: a tasting of four flavors served in—what else?—shot glasses (with a chocolate-and-rainbow-sprinkle rim).
