The Most Stunning Places to Dine Outside in the Hamptons
Your oceanside table is ready
After January’s Snowpocalypse, we’ve earned it: Let’s eat every meal outside from now until Labor Day. Here, seven gorgeous spots to dine alfresco in the Hamptons. Meet us for brunch on Saturday?
You can dine with your toes in the sand. So yeah, we’re basically going to be here every Friday night for the rest of the summer.

Welcome to our happy place: Gaze at the sunset, eat oysters, sip a cucumber fizz and take a deep breath. Repeat at least once a week until September.

When it comes to prime people watching, there’s no trumping this café and bakery, located smack dab in the middle of Main Street in Southampton. Be sure to request one of the tables flanking the entrance (versus the courtyard on the side) and bask in the people traffic as you sip on your espresso. Next stop, Intermix.

If you’re looking to truly escape the stresses of NYC life, head to this oasis of red maple trees located behind the Chequit Hotel. While lunch and dinner are solid options, we recommend heading over for brunch (brioche French toast!) and ordering a pitcher of Shelter Island Brewery’s Liquid Sunshine Wheat Ale.
23 Grand Ave., Shelter Island Heights; 631-749-0018 or thechequit.com/redmaple
This colorful taqueria is a local favorite--just ask Hamptons fitness guru Tracy Anderson, who is a regular. (Yep, that means the burritos are trainer-approved, so go ahead and eat one at one of the brightly colored picnic tables.)
74 Montauk Hwy., Amagansett; 631-267-8800 or lafondita.net
Go early and nab a spot at the beautiful outdoor dining area or just lounge poolside in one of the garden’s hammocks or by the fire pit. Bonus: There’s live music on the weekends.
90 Second House Rd., Montauk; 631-668-2105 or soleeast.com
Looking for a stunning place to kick back with a glass of rosé? Head to the upper deck of this Sag Harbor gem. Oh, and don’t forget to order a plate of the lobster rigatoni.
