If you haven’t been, this Tribeca gem is absolutely worth a visit. But if you’d rather not wear your Thanksgiving pants in public (fair), you can still take advantage of turkey two ways (confit legs with walnut-date sauce and slow-poached turkey breast) by getting it to go.

Unsurprisingly, this cult-fave sister-owned pie shop has mastered the art of Thanksgiving dessert, with brown-butter pumpkin, bittersweet-chocolate pecan, and our favorite, the signature salty honey pie.

Il Buco Alimentari
While the beloved institution Il Buco hosts a dine-in Thanksgiving, its casual market counterpart brings those Italian-cooking sensibilities to a takeout feast, featuring crushed potatoes with sea salt and olive oil, and buckwheat stuffing with figs, leeks and hazelnuts. (It’s also quite the steal at $250 for ten to 14 people.)

The Eleven Madison Park team’s fast-casual spin-off already stole our hearts with its composed salads and roast chicken, so we expect nothing short of miracles with its roasted turkey, butternut squash soup and garlic-Parmesan rolls.

OK, maybe you’re ambitious enough to tackle the turkey yourself, but your tiny oven can only handle so much. Leave the baked goods to Runner & Stone, whether it’s a loaf of cranberry-pecan levain (perfect for next-day sandwiches) or a pumpkin tart with maple meringue.
