Ina Garten Just Gave a Sneak Peek of What’s In Her Next Cookbook (and It Looks Delicious)

We already knew Ina Garten was working on another cookbook. (When is she not?) And while the details on said tome are still few and far between, the Barefoot Contessa just gave us a drool-worthy sneak peek of what we’ll eventually find inside.

She captioned her latest Instagram post (shown above), “We just photographed the Banana Rum Trifle for my next cookbook. Good enough to eat??”

Um, is that a real question, Ina? We’d like to dive straight in with spoons.

From the little information we’ve been given, it seems likely that the upcoming release (FYI, her twelfth cookbook overall) will feature photography from Quentin Bacon, who’s shot her last bajillion recipes as well. We still don’t have a title or a publishing date, but we have a feeling it will be sometime in 2020. (We got Cooking for Jeffrey in 2016 and Cook Like a Pro in 2018.) And don’t forget, the queen is also penning a memoir that’s slated for a 2023 release—busy lady.

Garten, 71, published her first cookbook in 1999, based on the success of her now-closed specialty food store in West Hampton, New York. The whole “household name” thing followed shortly after (and so did the hit cooking show).

Until then, we’ll be taking bets on the name. Our money’s on Cooking in Chambray.
