No burger is complete without pickles. They go together like PB&J, and we wouldn’t eat them any other way. Watch for an easy recipe for making dill-icious pickles at home.
What You Need:
- 1 pound small cucumbers
- 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
- 1½ tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon whole peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 garlic cloves
- ⅔ cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 large handful fresh dill
- 4 small chili peppers (optional)
- 2 glass jars
Step 1: Quarter the cucumbers lengthwise to make spears. Place the slices in the jars.
Step 2: Combine the coriander seeds, salt, peppercorn, sugar, garlic and vinegar in a separate container. Close the lid and shake the mixture.
Step 3: Add water to the mixture, then pour over the cucumber slices.
Step 4: Cut the dill in half and add it to the jar. Add the chili peppers, if using. Close the jars and put keep them in the fridge overnight before serving.
