You’ll Never Guess How the Cheesecake Factory Makes Red Sangria (and We Have the Recipe)

If you and your brunch crew *never* sit down for breakfast tacos at The Cheesecake Factory without ordering a round of red sangria, you’re not alone. And your obsession has everything to do with the restaurant’s one-of-a-kind recipe.

The red sangria stars Cabernet Sauvignon, which is no surprise. But it’s also rich with white wine, rum and tropical fruit juices. Better yet, the unique recipe is only one of many that are available online (we’re looking at you, pineapple cheesecake popsicles). Read on to find out how to make The Cheesecake Factory’s red sangria at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, sliced into ¼-inch half-moons
  • 16 triangular pieces pineapple
  • 1 apple, chopped

  • 6 ounces Riesling
  • 3 ounces spiced rum
  • 3 ounces simple syrup
  • 3 ounces cranberry juice
  • 3 ounces mango or guava juice
  • 3 ounces passion fruit juice (or frozen tropical juice concentrate)
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

Directions

Step 1: Combine ingredients in a pitcher. Cover and store in the refrigerator for 12 hours.

Step 2: Fill a wine glass with ice.

Step 3: Fill the glass with the sangria base and stir.

Step 4: Top the glass with a splash of soda water.

Step 5: Garnish with a spoonful of fruit from the pitcher.
