We’re always looking for sneaky, delicious ways to get more vegetables into our diet. This latest trick involves making pesto out of broccoli, and it might just be more delicious than the original. Here’s how to make it.

What You Need:
 - 1 large head of broccoli, steamed
 - 3 tablespoons pine nuts
 - 1 lemon for zest and juice
 - 2 cloves garlic
 - 1 pound pasta, cooked
 - 4 tablespoons olive oil
 - 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese

Step 1: Finely chop the broccoli.

Step 2: Add the pine nuts to the broccoli and chop again. Place the mixture in a large bowl.

Step 3: Zest the lemon over the veggie and nut mixture.

Step 4: Add the garlic and stir.

Step 5: Add the pasta, olive oil, Parmesan cheese and juice from half a lemon to the bowl and mix well.

Step 6: Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese and serve.
