Happy Wednesday ☕️ this morning I thought I?d share with you a few things you may or may not know about me 😘 # but FIRST, to all my DFW peeps I have a quick announcement. On Monday, March 5 I?ll be joining the @dallasmillennialclub speaker series on their food + drink edition! I hope y?all will come and listen to me and other amazing dallas foodies to discuss all things food + the business behind it. I?d love to see you and meet you there!!! It?s at Cafe express in uptown from 6-9pm, I?ll link this all in my stories for you to buy tickets and you can use my code ?imwithalex? to get $5 discount! # Some things about me: 1. I was born + raised in a small town north of dallas (celina) where there weren?t any restaurants (other than sonic and burger fixins 😄). Home cooked meals were the norm for me which is why I don?t like eating out very often. 2. I met my hubby in college (TCU, GO frogs!) we were always good friends and finally our senior year we broke the whole ?just friends? gig and we?ve been inseparable since that day. He is still my bestie and my biggest fan! 3. My mom is Italian. So naturally, when I have a cheat meal it?s a giant bowl of pasta. My other fave guilty pleasure is a bag of jalapeņo chips. I could easily destroy a bag of Zapps. 4. Sutton, my oldest, was a big surprise to us while we were dating after college. We already knew we?d get married and have kids one day so we just did it a lot sooner than expected ❤️ my life turned upside down and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me! 5. I started this blog w my sister 3 years ago. It started as a ?food + fitness? blog but she ended up having to say goodbye to it. At that point it decided that I really enjoyed sharing my recipes with others and decided I was going to work really hard to make it a business. 6. This year has started off on such a great, exciting note for me. I?m speaking at SXSW in a few weeks and I?ve got some other exciting projects I?m working on that are secret right now but it?s going to be a big year for me. To be honest, I?m to the moon about it! Sharing recipes with you and seeing you make them in your own kitchens for those that you love makes me so happy! ❤
Taco Tuesday is looking mighty fine today! I just shared the full recipe for these super easy Smokey Chipotle Chicken Tacos on the blog. I used @sietefoods cassava and coconut flour tortillas to keep them Paleo approved, but if you?re doing a Whole30, swap them out for lettuce cups for an easy weeknight meal that is oh-so satisfying! 💃🏻 🌮 # Find the full recipe on the blog, link in bio. # #paleo #tacotuesday #feedfeed #cleaneating #whole30 #eeeeeats #food52
