The bento box that comes to you
An app for ordering Asian food
So help you God--sometimes all you want in this world is a bento box.
Luckily, there’s an app for that. The newly launched Bento serves up a daily-changing menu of freshly prepared Asian food, courtesy of Top Chef vet Mattin Noblia. (We’re not sure why the French-born chef is trying his hand at Asian cuisine, but we’ll take it.)
Download the iPhone app and start building your dinner. For $12, you get one main dish (think Korean barbecue beef stew, pan-seared tuna tataki or kimchi fried rice) and four sides (like jasmine rice, cucumber salad, pork dumplings and wasabi snow peas).
Place your order (they deliver weeknights from 5 to 10 p.m.), enter your address and--boom--your box will arrive in 15 minutes or less. You can even track your delivery guy’s car so you can meet him curbside.
Although that sounds a little desperate, now that we think about it.
