Heidi Larsen was working as a creative director in the magazine world when she noticed an industry shift: food blogs were taking off. “I noticed they were becoming much more prominent and felt the creators had more of a story to be told behind the scenes, so I started my own online food magazine called Foodie Crush,” she says. In the beginning, Heidi focused her efforts on featuring food bloggers, but her site quickly morphed into a place where she could showcase her own recipes online. Now, it’s her full-time gig. “I would describe Foodie Crush as a recipe-based blog that delivers mostly whole food, healthy(ish) recipe ideas, plus weekly inspiration and tips,” she says. “I’ve also created The Nourished Planner, a printed day planner that mixes daily, weekly and monthly calendaring with motivational themes and weekly challenges to help with meal planning.” Here, a few fun facts about the culinary star.
