Here at PureWow, we’re pretty heads-down in terms of our day-to-day workflow. We come in, open our laptops and busy ourselves with Meghan Markle news, Ina Garten recipes and horoscopes. On particularly busy days, one of the few places we can catch up with coworkers is in the bathroom. (Hey, we’ll take what we can get.)

Cut to a few weeks ago. Within the span of three days, I spotted—while washing my hands—two fellow PureWow staffers wearing the exact same headband. It was the same one I had at home in an olive green silk.

My coworkers were wearing H&M’s corduroy velour hairband in Dusty Rose. It’s pretty, on-trend and versatile, and it retails for a mere $10. Yep, it costs less than a burrito bowl at Chipotle. Plus, the muted shade is more interesting than a black, gray or nude headband, while still being neutral enough to wear with tons of colors and prints. We have a feeling that Blair Waldorf would approve of it and that Chrissy Teigen would add it to her Hairband of the Day series.

This H&M headband has a medium width (meaning it’s not quite as aggressive as those hatbands the royals love so much) and features a knot detail right at the center of the crown. The beauty of this accessory—other than its looks-more-expensive-than-it-is vibe—is how many ways you can wear it.

I’ve seen our audience development director, Mary, wear hers with her straight, blonde hair pushed off her face. Our editorial assistant, Angie, pairs hers with a super-sleek, super-high topknot.

And I personally like to wear mine with my lob-length wavy hair parted down the center. I smooth my roots with a bunch of hair spray and add IGK’s Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray to my ends.

It’s also worth noting (because I know you’re wondering) that it’s super comfortable. I’ve worn a lot of headbands in my day, and lots of them start to hurt after four hours of wear (or less!). Not this one. I’ve worn this particular style upwards of 12 hours without having to give my poor head a break.

Sadly, the exact H&M headband is sold out, but we found five others just like it, below.
