Tracee Ellis Ross Debuts New Iconic Combo: Latex & Chanel

We're all quite familiar with classic combinations like "peanut butter & jelly" or "black and white," but Tracee Ellis Ross is inventing a whole new combo when it comes to fashion.

The Black-ish star posted a series of photos to Instagram where she is seen laying on a bed and rocking a killer Chanel jacket, along with a long, latex-coated braid. She captioned the post, "latex & chanel."

While the 48-year-old actress was showing off her newest look, she was having a blast doing it. She is seen laughing in the first pic, followed by some selfies where she gives us all her best angles.

Ross's black and beige jacket is taken from Chanel's Spring/Summer 2021 Collection. The silk and cotton tweed design features a geometric pattern, along with some pink detailing on the sleeves and the edges of the jacket (and its estimated price is $9,400 on Chanel's website). Her makeup was done by Chanel makeup artist Tasha Reiko Brown.

Along with the jacket, Ross sported some green and gold drop earrings, along with an iconic, latex-wrapped braid. The latex accessory was created by hairstylist and accessory designer Patricia Morales. Morales, who is famous for making Lady Gaga's hair bow (built out of literal hair), is known for her wide variety of creative hair designs.

Art curator and writer Kimberly Drew was obsessed with the photos, saying, "beauty!" Meanwhile, many fans loved the up-close shots, but they wanted to see Ross's look in its entirety. One commented, "Okay but can we see the whole look though Tracee," and another added, "MAAAM CAN WE GET THE FULL BODY LOOK PLEASE."
