Fashion designer Tory Burch makes some of our summertime staples (have you seen her bubble jelly slides and bucket bags?). So, it's only natural that when we had a few minutes of the entrepreneur, designer and philanthropist's time, we couldn't resist finding out what she's loving this season—and what she's up to these days.
As far as what she's up to? Well, it's huge. Today, the Tory Burch Foundation presents the Embrace Ambition Summit. "Our third summit will address unconscious bias and stereotypes as well as the biggest issues facing us today — gun reform, women’s rights, trans rights, equal pay, political division and much more," says Tory Burch. "Each session has a call to action, which is incredibly important. We can’t just talk about these issues—we need to come together, find common ground and create a movement of positive change," she continues. This is the first time in two years the event was able to resume since pre-COVID, so it will definitely be a treat to experience this. You can watch the livestream here.
The Tory Burch Foundation provides education and monetary resources for women entrepreneurs to learn and grow their businesses. “Earlier this year, we launched our Grants for Women of Color program with Fearless Fund and the Cru, which has already deployed $2 million to small businesses owned by women of color across America," Burch mentions. Even better? A lot of these small business owners will be selling their products at the Summit.
