Stuart Weitzman and Kate Moss Are Celebrating a Fashion Milestone Together
The year was 1993, and although they didn’t know it yet, Stuart Weitzman was about to create an iconic trend. Sure, other over-the-knee style boots existed, but it was Stuart Weitzman who created the perfect iteration: the 5050 Boot.
Able to go with everything from skinny jeans to dresses of all lengths, the key to the 5050 perfection (and its namesake) is set in the unique and universally flattering half-micro stretch and half-leather construction. In the 25 years since its debut, it’s been so popular—worn by celebs like Angelina Jolie and Selena Gomez—that the brand has expanded the style to include a range of heel heights and colors, as well as leather and suede options.
And now they’re back to celebrate the anniversary with the help of equally long admired Kate Moss. The campaign features Moss looking fierce as ever wearing the Reserve, a signature stretch-back with a 1¾-inch block heel.
Coming in at $655, the 5050 ain’t cheap, but it’s built to last. (Although, that’s not to say we aren’t banking on our tax return to see how many new pairs we can afford to buy.)
