Remember the iconic sheep sweater that Princess Diana wore on multiple occasions? Well, it just received a modern-day revamp.
Rowing Blazers recently launched a Princess Di-inspired collection, which includes the wool jumper that was originally produced by Warm & Wonderful.
Rowing Blazers worked in collaboration with the original designers of the sweater, Joanna Osborne and Sally Muir, to bring back the famous pattern that was worn by the late royal. (At the time, the fashion choice was symbolic, since it alluded to her status in the royal family.)
Similar to the OG design, the knit is made from 100 percent wool, featuring a single black sheep standing amongst a sea of white sheep. If it looks like something you’d wear, we highly recommend taking advantage of this rare opportunity, since the sweater hasn’t been mass produced since the ’90s.

Warm & Wonderful recently celebrated the sweater’s release by sharing a behind-the-scenes video on YouTube, where the founders shared their origination story.
“We started with six samples, one of which was the sheep jumper,” Osborne said. “So, it was really one of our very first designs. I think the one black sheep made it stand out. It made it different.”
According to the designers, Princess Diana wasn’t the only celeb who liked the quirky jumper. “David Bowie is reported to have wanted one,” Osborne explained. To which Muir added, “Andy Warhol—he walked past our stand and went, ‘Oh. Chic sweater.’”
When asked why they’re bringing back the sheep jumper, Osborne replied, “The time is right.”
