Old Navy Launches New Initiative to Promote Inclusivity in Stores & Online

Old Navy is making some big changes, and all we have to say is…yaaasss!

The retailer recently announced an all-new initiative that’s geared toward making Old Navy more inclusive, according to Forbes. Introducing BODEQUALITY, which reimagines “the shopping environment in all stores and online to be more size inclusive, giving women everywhere the fashion and experience that they deserve.”

Old Navy will implement several new measures in honor of BODEQUALITY. One of the biggest takeaways is the brand will no longer have separate sections, like “Plus Size” for stores and “Women’s Plus” for online. Instead, all merchandise will be grouped together, so every customer can feel like they belong.

In addition, clothing items will now be available in broader size options, ranging from 0 to 30 and XS to 4XL. Not only will Old Navy feature more curvy mannequins, but it will also provide employees with customer-focused training. Oh, and did we mention there will be price parity (consistent pricing across all sizes)?

In a statement, Nancy Green (Old Navy’s president and CEO) explained that BODEQUALITY will change how the brand operates for years to come. “BODEQUALITY is not a one-time campaign, but a full transformation of our business in service to our customers based upon years of working closely with them to research their needs,” she said.

We fully support this.
