One of the biggest nights in fashion has finally arrived: The Met Gala. After last year's ceremony was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, it's been over two years since we've seen some of the world's biggest stars walk the Met steps in their stunning haute couture.
As the event makes its grand return, this year's theme is “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” which is meant to “explore a modern vocabulary of American style emphasizing the expressive qualities of dress and deeper associations with issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion.” While one might think of American fashion as white t-shirts and blue jeans, the celebs who attended the event made sure to pull out some surprising and creative designs.
