Every Single Outfit Kate Middleton Has Worn on Her Royal Tour of Ireland
1. Cleared For Landing In A Catherine Walker Coat
Middleton deplaned in Dublin looking festive as ever. She selected an emerald green Catherine Walker coat, an LK Bennet Dora green suede envelope clutch ($145), Emmy London Rebecca pumps and a black velvet hatband by Lele Sadoughi.
2. Embracing Ireland’s National Color In Alessandra Rich
The duchess arrived at Áras an Uachtaráin in Dublin, Ireland, to meet with President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, his wife, Sabina, and their adorable Bermese mountain dog, Brod. She selected a now sold-out floral green Alessandra Rich midi dress from the spring/summer 2020 collection. After their presidential meeting, the couple continued on to the Garden of Remembrance, which is a memorial dedicated to those who gave their lives for Irish independence.
3. Shining Bright Like An Emerald In The Vampire’s Wife
K-Middy got gussied up for a visit to the Guinness Storehouse in a metallic emerald Falconetti dress by The Vampire’s Wife ($2,044), with a gold sequin Wilber & Gussie clutch ($314) that she’s had for ages and emerald green velvet Manolo Blahnik BB pumps ($695) with a 4-inch heel. She even threw in a pair of H&M earrings (and some PDA!) for good measure.
4. Ready For A Full Day In Reiss
Comfort was key for day two of the duchess’s tour, which included a jam-packed schedule. She and Prince William began their day at the Dublin headquarters of the mental health charity Jigsaw and also stopped by Love Lane, an alley covered in painted love letters to Dublin. For the series of engagements, the duchess sported a cream Reiss coat that she's actually owned since before she was even a royal (she is believed to have debuted the coat in 2008). She paired the timeless outerwear with black skinny jeans and her favorite Russell and Bromley Fallon dry ankle boots ($385).
5. Ping Pong In Polka-dots
After Jigsaw and sightseeing, Middleton dove into a game of table tennis at Savannah House, a residential facility run by charity Extern, just north of Dublin. She stripped off her Reiss coat so she could have full use of her arms and revealed a black-and-white polka-dot button-down blouse (sold out) from the French brand Equipment.
6. Farming In A Classic Barbour Jacket
Next, the Cambridges got out of the city and enjoyed a breath of fresh air at Teagasc Research Farm in County Meath. Middleton selected her favorite olive-green Barbour defense waxed jacket ($450), a sweater, skinny jeans and her go-to Penelope Chilvers long-tassled boots ($616). After the engagement, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed even more PDA during a romantic walk at nearby Howth Cliff.
7. An Evening Out In Oscar De La Renta
Middleton mixed it up and went for a hot-pink vintage Oscar de la Renta frock with black polka-dots, a black waist accent and a ruffled neckline at a reception held by Irish Tanaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) Simon Coveney in Dublin. It was very Princess Diana if you ask us.
8.kelly Green In Galaway
What does one wear to an engagement in Galaway on the final day of a royal tour that includes everything from the Community Circus to a visit to the family-owned traditional Irish pub, Big Coili? A bespoke Kelly green printed Suzannah dress with her go-to Ralph Lauren heeled boots, naturally.
9. Covering Up In Alexander Mcqueen
For her trek from Tribeton (where Prince William juggled) to the pub, the duchess pulled on a mossy green military-inspired high-neck Alexander McQueen overcoat. She most recently wore the topper during a trip to Bradford with her husband in January.
10. The Royal Sporty Spice
Middleton kicked things up a notch for her final day in Ireland and played some soccer (football?) at Salthill Knocknacarra GAA Club in her New Balance tennies, black skinny jeans and a red merino wool and cashmere cable-knit mock neck sweater ($252) by British label Really Wild. The Duchess of Cambridge last wore the comfy sweater while on tour in Canada in 2016.
We just love royal tours.
