How to Remove Lint From Your Clothes When You Don’t Have a Lint Brush
What to do in a pinch
Woof. You just looked down and your cute black blouse is covered in white dog hairs. (Damn you, Oakley.) But you're out and about and without a lint roller in sight. What’s a disheveled gal to do?
What you need: Your hands and a sink.
What you do: Wash your hands with warm water, then dry them slightly but not to completion. With your hands still a teensy bit moist, run them up and down your shirt. Behold as the lint or dog hair comes right off the fabric and onto your hands (which you can promptly wash again).
Why it works: The water eases the grip of the hair/lint/schmutz from your shirt's fabric but doesn't have the adverse side effects that, say, a hand towel would.
Is it better than a lint roller? No. But it’s better than nothing!
