Let's talk about jeans. They're convenient and cute, can be dressed up or down and they make your butt look really good (well, sometimes). So then why have I always had a love-hate relationship with them? Well, it's actually pretty simple: Finding a good pair of jeans is just one of many short-girl problems that I have. (I'm 4'11.)

From sizes to inseam measurements and leg openings, there are so many factors that shorties like me have to consider. After all, the fit is literally what makes or breaks a pair of jeans. My personal no-no list when it comes to denim includes styles with weird bunching at the bottom, pairs I can't breathe in, those that make me look shorter and jeans that make me look weighed down. Because of these criteria, my jeans options have sadly gone from hundreds to maybe 50. That was, until I tried Everlane's Way-High Jeans, a pair of jeans I can confidently say that I feel and look good in.

The 18 Best Jeans for Short Women, According to a Fashion Editor

I used to think that my height meant that only wide-leg or culotte styles would work for my body, but this straight-leg, vintage-looking pair has me rethinking that. These come in two inseam sizes—regular and long—and I found that the length of the regular was just right, reaching my ankle without all the bunching. I give all the credit to its super high-rise fit, comfortably hugging me just above my belly button.

And if like me, you have a belly piercing, you may appreciate them even more because you can hide it without worrying about it snagging. But what truly sold me is how effortlessly these organic cotton jeans give me legs for days, especially when I want to look taller. (And if you're on the shorter side, then you know how big of a deal this is.)

Everlane

Oh, and did I mention that they come in five classic denim washes, are available in a solid range of sizes (23 to 35 to be exact) and are only $88? (For what it's worth, the Vintage Indigo wash is my fave and goes well with so many looks.) And best of all, you can wear them everywhere, from the grocery store to brunch and happy hour to date night. I totally have, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
