The No. 1 Fashion Trend the Coolest L.A. Girls Are Wearing

If you ever find yourself in L.A. on a weekend when the Rose Bowl Flea Market is taking place (i.e., the second Sunday of every month), I highly recommend you go. And not because the vintage clothing and unique furniture selections are incredible, but because it offers the best people-watching experience in all of California (and possibly the United States). It was there that I came to fully realize just how huge the boilersuit trend is. These one-pieces were everywhere, and it made me want to buy another five or six to add to the two I already own. 

So, taking a hint from the ladies of L.A., we unearthed seven styling ideas, so we can all pull off this tricky jumpsuit trend, just like a SoCal fashionista.

Complement A Neutral Suit With Bright Accessories

There’s nothing better than a good tan-on-beige color palette, but mixing too many basic hues can turn you into a bland blob, especially if you’ve opted for a looser boilersuit. Add a much-needed pop of color to your ensemble with vibrant orange heels or an emerald green handbag. And don’t be timid: You can rock at least two to three of these colorful accoutrements without going overboard.

Nip In Your Waist With A Contrasting Belt

Speaking of the dreaded blob effect, cinching a belt at your waist will ensure your figure doesn’t get lost in all that fabric. Bonus points if it’s in a completely different color and material than your jumpsuit.
