Barneys New York Just Got More Like Amazon
Go home and relax, Kim.

We’ve all been there: It turns out that the fabulous dress you wanted to wear to your cousin’s wedding this weekend (which has been sitting in your closet since 2009) is actually hideous. What’s a girl to do? Typically you’d race to Barneys New York like a madwoman and try on a bunch of other options. But this is the future, and now Barneys has same-day delivery.

Yep, the NYC department store is joining the ranks of Net-a-Porter, offering same-day shipping to New Yorkers for a flat rate of $25. Order that great sequined shift before noon during the week, and it will arrive at your home between 5 and 8 p.m. Order before 10 a.m. on Saturdays, and it’ll be at your door between 3 and 6 p.m.

The service is currently available only in Manhattan and Brooklyn. (Sorry, Queens, Staten Island and Bronx fashionistas; patience is a virtue.)

Now if you’ll excuse us, we have some living-room shopping to do.
