6 Easy Ways to Refresh Your Look for Fall
Let your white clothes hang out a little longer...
Winter may be coming, but we’ve got at least three (maybe four?) solid days of fall before it arrives. Jokes aside, we actually can’t wait for autumn to usher in all that is fall fashion, fall makeup, and fall hair—oh my! Tis the season for looking good, so make sure you refresh your routine accordingly.
Get that cut you’ve been wanting
We see bangs in your future (and you’ll be seeing them everywhere this fall). Cooler temps mean you can take your straightener out of storage and stop trying to fight the good fight against humidity. Double splurge on a new all-over color to really revamp your look. Go big or go home, as they say.
Wear white after Labor Day
Just because you’re going to have to say goodbye to summer doesn’t mean you can’t bring your sleekest white looks into fall or winter. Layering white on white for fall could not look any chicer.
Reset your skin-care routine
Cooler air means dry skin. So now’s the time to rev up your moisturizing efforts. Set yourself up for success with a luxurious facial or a trip to the dermatologist. P.S. This is your friendly reminder that sunscreen is still a non-negotiable no matter how gray the sky gets.
Ditch your summer purse
It’s time to toss the sandy tote bag and trade it in for something much more sturdy. This year we’re obsessing of chain-link flap bags or basically anything in fall’s newest neutral, oxblood. Like we said, things are getting moody.
Swap out your signature lip color
Take a cue from King Kylie and restock your lipstick arsenal with extra moody, dramatic hues. This season it’s all about the modern goth(ic). (The '90s are back, baby.) If you’re nervous about it being too much, keep the rest of your make up too a minimal. A bold lip speaks for itself.
Invest in one or two fall statement pieces
There’s so much to love this season, but there’s no need to spend your entire salary just to stay on trend. All you need to do is scoop up a statement piece or two. Might we suggest a versatile lariat or ankle boots with a pop of color?
