Run a Humidifier in the Nursery

A lot of times dry skin gets exacerbated by a lack of moisture in the air, especially if you’re running the AC or the heat. A humidifier will help counteract this, decreasing your baby’s dry skin at the same time.

Don’t Be Afraid to Shampoo (and Comb Through) Your Baby’s Hair

As long as you’re using a mild baby shampoo, it’s actually good to wash your baby’s hair more frequently to help loosen flakes and scales. When you’re done, use a soft brush to gently remove additional flakes from the scalp. (If any irritation occurs, consult a pediatrician who may be able to prescribe a prescription shampoo.)

Massage a Small Amount of Lotion Into The Scalp

A dime-sized amount of an un-perfumed baby moisturizer can work wonders, locking in moisture post-bath that will help continue to soothe.
