It’s ooey, it’s gooey and your kids are entirely obsessed with it: Slime is officially one the hottest toys of the year. And lucky for moms and dads, it’s also incredibly easy to DIY. But did you know you could make a batch right in your very own kitchen without all those nasty chemicals? Here's how to make slime without borax.
What You Need:
- 8 ounces white glue
- Food coloring
- 1 can shaving cream
- 1 bottle of contact lens solution
Step 1:
Combine the glue and food coloring in a large mixing bowl and stir well to combine.
Step 2:
Next add the shaving cream to the mixture and stir once more.
Step 3:
Now for the key ingredient: the contact solution. Add about 1 tablespoon and continue stirring the mixture. It should be getting stickier and stickier.
Step 4:
Pour the mix onto a nonstick surface and continue adding more contact solution while kneading until smooth. Make as many colors as you’d like, then let playtime commence.
