An indoor mini-golf course in the city
You’ve had your fill of corporate affairs at swanky bars. Sometimes you just want to have some low-key fun.
The high-tech, only-in-San Francisco, 14-hole circuit opens today in the Mission.
Start off at the 1906 Earthquake hole, with buildings that actually shake, before winding your way around to the Under the Sea hole, with LED light sensors that resemble phytoplankton, and the Music Maker hole, which uses the ball in play as an instrument.
After you work up an appetite on the greens, head to one of Urban Putt’s two bars or its comfort-food restaurant for “fairway bites” (hello, chicken-and-waffle skewers) and beer crafted exclusively for the golfers by local Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. Coming next? Bottled cocktails (like an Americano with vermouth, sea salt and citrus peel) that you can sip as you hit the links.
