Naja
A sultry set from the Secret Life of Sparrows collection.

Fancy underthings can make a gal feel fabulous. If only they weren?t so unfabulously expensive.

It?s time to get to know Naja...intimately. The brand-new online lingerie company is debuting its first line of luxurious, ever-so-edgy bras and panties, which are made from high-quality fabrics and are affordably priced ($12 to $70). SF-based founder Catalina Girald sought out ultra-soft materials like pima cotton and combined them with features like breathable memory-foam cups.

But what we really love are the designs, inspired by tattoos and Japanese shunga (a.k.a. erotic art). Girald enlisted a tattoo artist in San Jose (Naja's art director) to hand-print each piece with elegant black sparrows and peacock feathers, which pop against the underwear?s blush tones. The insides of the cups are splashed with similar themes, and the cuts are decidedly retro (we?re digging the high-waist bottoms).

Through its Underwear for Hope program, Naja donates a percentage of profits to help teach sewing to impoverished women around the world. So you?ll feel good inside and out when you slip that bra on.
