An affordable interior-design service
As savvy as we are decor-wise (we totally called the indoor-swing trend), hiring an interior decorator still strikes us as somewhat intimidating, not to mention pricey.
So naturally, we were pumped to learn that Homepolish had finally arrived in San Francisco.
The company makes hiring a pro infinitely easier and more affordable than taking the traditional route. They recruit talent from top design firms, including the SF-based Mak Studio and Jute, and match you up with a designer according to your taste, needs and budget.
Through the site, you spell out what you’re looking to do (e.g., “I want to integrate more color into my kitchen”), note how much you’re willing to spend (“shoestring” is an option!) and request a junior or senior designer. They set up a 50-minute consultation ($50 or $80, respectively), during which the designer will make suggestions for how to accomplish your decor goals. Installing a bright tile backsplash behind your sink is a cheap, easy way to make your kitchen pop, FYI.
If you want to keep working with them--whether for minor redecorating or a major renovation--you can purchase packages in five-hour increments, starting at $500. Your designer will be as hands-on (or off) as you prefer, doing everything from flea-market shopping to hiring contractors. There’s no markup for anything you purchase.
Homepolish is offering PureWow SF readers 25 percent off your initial visit if you schedule in the next 72 hours. Enter “purewow” as the promo code at checkout.
