Four must-see spring concerts
Ah, the sounds of spring: birds chirping, layers of clothing dropping to the floor?and musicians rocking out around the Bay Area. We?ve cherry-picked a few shows you won?t want to miss:
BottleRock At the inaugural BottleRock festival in Napa, being held May 9 through 12, listen to A-list bands such as Kings of Leon and Alabama Shakes while sipping on wine from more than 40 of the area?s top vineyards. Day passes are $139.
Beach House The enchanting indie duo, Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally, will lull you into a sonic trance with their brand of dream-pop at The Fillmore on April 16. Tickets are still available here ($79 to $189).
Janelle Monae and the San Francisco Symphony The genre-blurring singer-songwriter will perform new arrangements of her soulful rock-pop mash-up with the SF Symphony on May 16. Tickets start at $90 and proceeds benefit the symphony?s music and education programs.
The Killers From ?Mr. Brightside? to ?Miss Atomic Bomb,? Brandon Flowers and his band continue to produce pulsating, lyrical songs. They bring the noise to Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on April 27 and 28. Tickets are still available here ($54 to $190).
