Among our (many) home decor fantasies are customized pillows and drapes. But our textile dreams are usually crushed by the creativity seemingly required or, let?s be honest, the cost.
Carolyn Rebuffel wants to make our fantasy a reality with her new line, Workroom C. The founder of the eponymous interior design firm was so inundated with textile requests from her clients, she decided to launch a collection of designed-to-match custom fabrics, pillows and window treatments at a reasonable price point--half of what you?d pay for some designer textiles that often have yardage minimums.
Her modern twist on traditional design is reflected in the five patterns she drew by hand, ranging from a chipper polka-dot print (?Chloé?) to a bold, geometric motif (?Porter?). The 28 signature colors, which include a demure ?Professor Plum? and a snappy ?Persimmon,? were selected to complement one another.
Though Rebuffel places a premium on quality and craftsmanship, she found a way to make the line affordable--pillows are $185, drape panels are $295 and fabric is $69 a yard. If you?re not sure what will look best, email a photo of your space and Rebuffel will personally make suggestions for free.
We can?t think of a better way to spruce up our digs for spring.
