Fullosophie offers classy hands-on workshops
You know you want to try that blowtorch.
Ren Yagolnitzer

You?re into the DIY trend but haven?t found any classes that speak to your aesthetic. (Crocheting baby blankets? No, thanks.)

That?s where Fullosophie comes in. The founders organize intimate hands-on workshops (classes are capped at 10 people) that teach you how to do stuff that actually appeals.

Up next is an afternoon workshop with Sarah Greenberg (of coveted jewelry line Sarah Swell) to learn the ancient jewelry technique of wax carving.

On June 22, Greenberg will teach students how to carve a pendant in wax with hand tools and wax pens (she?ll have precut stencils or you can sketch your own design). Once you?re finished, she?ll have you pick a chain (oxidized silver or leather) and her team will get to work casting your pendant in silver or brass. You?ll receive your original necklace in the mail in a few weeks? time.

And just in case your pendant doesn?t look as perfect as one of Greenberg?s pieces, the designer is offering attendees 15 percent off everything in her showroom. Deal!
