The city's top bocce spots
Play ball!

News flash: Bocce ball is trending. In fact, the Ferry Bocce League currently has a 30-person waiting list. Luckily, there are spots around town where you can play an impromptu game. Here, a few of our favorites:

Best view Bar Bocce’s outdoor courts have insane views of Richardson Bay and the Pelican Yacht Harbor, where you can watch the boats go by. There’s also a communal fire pit to keep you toasty while playing alfresco. 1250 Bridgeway, Sausalito

Best for meeting guys Make Westing’s happening bar scene is prime for “bumping into” all the artists and Pandora dudes who come here after work. Order an Anchor Steam lager and ask that cute guy with the architect glasses to show you some tricks. 1741 Telegraph Ave., Oakland

Best food Order a few dozen oysters at Nick’s Cove to take across the street to the courts at The Croft (opening June 1). The Tomales Bay clam chowder, curry-roasted clams and Dungeness-crab mac and cheese are also to die for. 23240 Highway 1, Marshall

Best for kids Home to the Ferry Bocce League, the crushed-oyster courts at Justin Herman Plaza are perfect for casual Saturday play. Send the kids over to the new playground at the adjacent Sue Bierman Park while you get your adult gaming on. Market Street and the Embarcadero
