What’s the meaning of life? Is karma real? Why can’t waffles taste more like doughnuts? These are the questions that keep us up at night. So in the hopes of sleeping a little bit better, we asked our recipes editor for help. First, we make the batter with yeast so the waffles are light and fluffy--just prepare the batter, then let it rise overnight in the fridge. When you wake up the next morning, pour the batter onto a waffle iron and cook for a few minutes. Finally, to take these waffles straight into doughnut territory, toss the warm rounds in cinnamon sugar. One question down, two to go.
