How to get tickets to the new late shows
Unless you?ve been living under a rock (or haven?t been binge-watching ice dancing like we have), you know The Tonight Show is back in NYC, baby.
With Jimmy Fallon now manning the iconic post and Seth Meyers taking his spot at Late Night, we?re itching to see the new regime firsthand. Here?s how to score seats.
The basics For either show, call 212-664-3056 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. An NBC agent will let you know what the upcoming availabilities are. We just got tickets to a Late Night taping, and the whole process was rather painless. Tickets are released only in chunks--about four to six weeks in advance. So if at first you don?t succeed, try, try again.
The insider tricks For an advantage over other would-be audience members, like Fallon on Facebook to see his current ticketing schedule and get alerted when a new batch is released. (You can then book online ASAP.) Follow Meyers on Twitter for similar notices. (That?s how we saw The Daily Show last year.)
The others Speaking of the other guys, Comedy Central has a similar booking process, but ticket releases are announced only via email and Twitter (and then you book online). Mr. Letterman is another story: You have to fill out an online request form and pray to the lottery gods.
