Things that go together: Christmas trees and delivery boys. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Black and navy (don?t fight us on it).
And as up-and-coming NYC designer Nellie Partow proves: feminine fabrics and damn good tailoring.
After stints at Donna Karan followed by Calvin Klein, Partow knows a thing or two about meshing masculine and feminine silhouettes. So when she debuted her namesake collection last spring with peplum crepe tops and a killer fire-engine-red jumpsuit, our current wardrobe was instantly deemed unworthy.
And not-so-lucky for your Amex, her current collection is even more enticing. From perfectly pleated silk trousers to a timeless color-blocked coat, each item is immaculately styled and has us itching to add it to our repertoire. (A knit gown is an investment, right?) Plus, anyone who can make fuchsia pants look boardroom-worthy has our vote.
Available at both Elizabeth Charles and Saks Fifth Avenue, we can?t wait to wrap ourselves in this fur stole--regardless of whether or not our yoga pants make a good match.
