Hotel bars are suddenly cool again
Empty now, but you should see the crowd at the Langham Place after 5 p.m.

By nature, we New Yorkers have a knack for the dive-bar scene. But sometimes you just need to wear heels, feel fancy and order a martini already.

Luckily, there’s a slew of upscale new hotels--and accompanying bars--to shake up your cocktail routine.

Langham Place We can all agree that the Brits do old-school luxury well, right? And while we may not need the $800-a-night room, we will certainly kick back at the Langham Place’s sleek lounge Measure, which offers classic cocktails (god, we love a Sidecar) alongside nightly live jazz. 400 Fifth Ave. (at 37th St.); 212-695-4005 or newyork.langhamplacehotels.com

The Viceroy Yep, the legendary Miami and L.A. hot spots finally have an NYC counterpart. And Kingside (its restaurant from Landmarc’s Marc Murphy) should debut any day now. Sidle up to the bar’s red-leather stools for seasonal cocktails or wine by the quarter (one and a half glasses), half or full bottle. 120 W. 57th St. (between Sixth and Seventh aves.); 212-707-8000 or viceroyhotelsandresorts.com

The Quin Just down the block from the Viceroy is the completely overhauled Buckingham Hotel, now known as The Quin. The two-story restaurant and bar The Wayfarer will open in November, just in time for entertaining holiday visitors in grand old fashion. 101 W. 57th St. (at Sixth Ave.); 212-245-7846
