“Hey guys! Did you hear that Beyoncé is playing the Garden next week?” Rookie mistake. It’s been sold out for months. (Also, local papers, stop listing this as news.) But a new app is facing this problem head on by withholding a select amount of seats until the day before.
Introducing YPlan. Relatively new but incredibly popular in London, it just landed in NYC, and we already foresee its game-changing potential.
Open the app on your iPhone to scroll through a list of events happening tonight or tomorrow (catered to the preferences you choose after downloading). If something catches your eye, tap to read more info, then tap just two more times to book. That’s it--all your information is stored. Just show your app at the box office and you’re golden.
It’s important to note that not all events are global-pop-star caliber, but there is a real beauty of discovery here. Kind of like when you’re toying with the idea of going to the movies and check Fandango first. Now you can do the same for concerts.
But we don’t blame you for using it to keep tabs on Mrs. Carter, too.
