Raising the Salad Bar
The site that automatically orders your lunch
It?s 3 p.m. on a Tuesday. You?ve been in back-to-back conference calls since 9 a.m. and are inches away from shoving a slice of pizza in your face.
What if there were a food-delivery site that picked lunch for you? And automatically brought it to your desk?at a time when most humans eat?
There is: Healthy Hand.
First, sign up and input a few preferences: what time you?d like your meals to be delivered, what your dietary goals are (to lose weight or to stay healthy overall) and any specific foods to avoid (meat, gluten, allergens and the like).
Each morning you?ll receive an email with two meal options from restaurants around you, which have been vetted by a team of dieticians. Reply with your choice and consider it done. If you don?t need lunch that day, just ignore the email--simple as that.
As for the cost, you can set a max price for lunches, and the Healthy Hand service itself is essentially $1 on top of each day?s order ($28 a month). It?s still in the beta stage, but to give it a test run, use the pass code ?PUREWOW? and the service fee will be waived for the first two weeks.
Now, get back to work.
