Since debuting their first collection last September, the up-and-coming fashion house Silvio Liu has gained a following among the downtown set for their unique blend of femininity and nuance.
Though we adore their imaginative gowns and office-appropriate attire, the label's recently unveiled resort collection truly makes us melt. Inspired by ice cream and spilled milkshakes, the romantic assortment of drape-y (but never drippy) silhouettes exude warm-weather glamour, but they'll transition seamlessly to fall with a cardigan and black tights.
Each hand-dyed dress, available for purchase through Silvio Liu's sales contact, comes in lived-in linen or structured silk versions. We love the understated cool of this floor-length shirtdress ($400); the day-to-night ease of this bohemian gown ($250 for linen, $362 for silk); and this elegant, Matisse-inspired look ($275 for linen, $412 for silk).
While the pretty, pastel palette is guaranteed to inspire the most color-averse, fans of the LBD can rest easy: Each frock also comes in a chic, black version.
Looks like spilled milk can be a beautiful thing.
