Caudalie plants its roots in NYC
It was a thing of beauty, the day we all learned how healthy it is to drink a glass of red wine a day. Then along came Caudalíe, the French skincare line that harnesses that same antioxidant power of grape seeds but for your face.
For nearly two decades, the earthy yet luxe products have been a cult hit at retailers like Sephora, and finally the line has its own home (well, actually two) to help us explore exactly what a simple grape could do for our skin.
We popped by the airy flagship shop on Bleecker Street (the second location is uptown on Lexington), which is centered around a long bar and functioning sink. Here you can walk in for a free ten-minute facial and properly test out any of the products before committing. So the boutique environment is less about product merchandising and far more about the experience--and its immediate results.
All too often we’re skeptical of gimmicky beauty claims, but the combination of foam and milk cleansers we tried was nothing short of miraculous. In just a matter of seconds, our skin was noticeably glowing. What a difference a trial run (and eponymous shop) makes. We’re sold.
