A new crop of holiday caterers
We can all agree it's been a long week, and what better than the upcoming holiday season to lift our spirits? If you happen to be hosting festive parties (for the office, charities or just friends and family), here are a few new local caterers to put on speed dial.
Best for Family Get-Togethers For a more casual angle on the December dinner party, consider hosting a relaxed indoor barbecue from Parker Red. The new catering arm of the Brooklyn café Ted & Honey follows the same locavore standards, and it can drop off a hefty, customizable feast (like house-smoked pulled pork, baked mac and cheese and heirloom tomato salad) right at your door--no serving staff required (although that is an option, as is an event-space rental).
Best for a Kitchen Rental The new shared-kitchen and event-rental space Bed-Stuy Kitchen, just opened from the Kurent Events team, can be used for everything from professionally catered dinners to simply providing a spot to churn out hundreds of baked goods for a charity sale.
Best for Large-Scale Shindigs Not all of us are tasked with planning our office holiday soirees or fund-raisers, but if you are, check out Pinch Food Design. It?s not for the slight of wallet, but it offers some of the most creative food presentation and cocktail ideas we?ve seen in some time.
